Interested in Adopting?
We strive to provide a hassle free adoption process that provides every adopter and pet with the best experience possible.
Dog adoption fees are $75 for adults, and $30 for Senior Dogs (7+). Dogs are spayed or neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated and come with basic obedience training.
If you are interested in adopting a pet, please submit a complete Adoption Application as soon as possible. Completed Applications are processed in the order they are received. Your application must include 3 references, and your veterinarians contact information. Once received, your application will be processed, references will be checked, and a home visit (excluding cats) will be scheduled at your earliest convenience.
Our devoted Ginger looks like she's probably a Heinz 57 canine - a little bit of a lot of different stuff. Including cat. We say this about a good portion of our animals, but Ginger really is one of the snuggliest bugs this side of the Platte River. She's just out of her puppy stage so, while still playful and eager to learn, Ginger just wants to love you. This winter could be a cold one, what better way to brave it than with this loyal muttly?
This here is Spike. Spike is only about a year old, two at the most, and is still coming out of his shell. He was a bit timid when he came in, but with some love and work Spike has started showing us his playful side. We are still coaxing him out of his shyness and are optimistic about the potential in this one. Once he warms up to you a bit, Spike is full of love and curiosity. He would love an active, attentive human to share a forever home with.
Marble cake! Zephyr is one of the smartest dogs we've ever had. We have absolutely no idea what kind of dog Zephyr is, but look at that face! Does it matter? He's super playful, super smart, and super lovable. This pup would do best with a job or a forever home where he can be incredibly active. As is the case sometimes, Zephyr's background is unclear to us. He needs a little extra love and patience but he's so young and willing to please that he will soak up all the goodness you could possibly give him.
Two days ago, Trigger joined the ranks of the LPHS residents. At first he was super shy and timid and unsure about us. After his humans broke up, he just wasn't quite the same. Trigger is about 3 and a half years old and once he warms up to you, full of a love you couldn't imagine. Healing from heartbreak is always tough, for humans and animals alike. While we're going to do everything in our power to help Trigger fix his heart, we know that a loving forever home will be the best medicine.
Luna here is a playful pup (as they all are) with sass to match. She enjoys taking her time getting to the squeaker in the center of the toy and all the puppy kisses. Luna is in the midst of what we're guessing is her first heat so we haven't had the chance to introduce her to other dogs or many people yet, but I think it's a safe bet that she'd get along swinmmingly. She's full of character and ready for a loving, playful forever home!
